Been a while

Yeah, I had such grand plans for this blog and then I dropped the ball. Not all that much thrifting happens here in Wisconsin over the winter. Plus new management at my local Salvation Army store has led to lots of junk and not the good kind either.
I have a few good finds that I need to get pictures of so that I can put them on here. Still need to set up some sort of a shop to part with some of these treasures.
I spent a couple hours last weekend ironing hankies that were my grandma's that I have been hanging on to for who knows what reason but now I am going to try and sell them and see what happens. So they are pressed and ready to photograph.
Having a 2 year old sure cuts into any serious crafting and I sure can't take her with to rummage or estate sales.
Oh crap I hear the beast wailing from the upstairs. I will try to get back here sooner next time and with pictures.

  1. Shanna, thank you so much for your comment. All of it. I'm always so hesitant to post stuff about parenting, but I think it's so important that we are open and honest and we pull together on this stuff. It's so hard for everyone, and I know that we can all learn from each other.

And I read your blog too, and was wondering if you were okay because it's been awhile! I hope you are just busy and having fun and neglecting your blog because life is so awesome these days.

You are more than welcome at my table on any Wednesday of the year. Heck, and DAY of the year!!

  2. HEllo Shanna!Thank you so much for you comment on my blog! The technique I used for the plant pokes was Cro tat. It's a form of tatting with a crochet hook. THe shuttle tatting is a bit different. I am sure you can find tons of Youtube videos on shuttle tatting though. Just do a search. :)
For Cro tat there is only one so far (I made that one) I am planning on making more, but with family, volunteering and trying to craft, there just hasn't been enough time yet LOL
I am looking forward to the pictures of the hankies!! I collect them :) There are so many uses around the house for them....
    Sending hugs to you!
